This song is about the wife of the lead singer, Kevin Palmer, to Trust Company/Amity Lane. (Flyleaf toured with them at some point.) Layla, his wife, had a disease that kept her in bed for long periods of time, and when she was out of bed, she was so happy..just for that. She was so happy about something that we take for granted everyday.
