My best party car was my first, a 1970 Monte Carlo...

My friend had one of Mercury, in the 80"s we partied alot in that car.

I have owned about eighteen cars since my first one (a 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo) back in 1983. Sometimes I owned three at a time! I'm down to one dead-reliable four-door sedan that I drive daily and one minivan that my girlfriend uses. I can't afford the old-car hobby these days, but I drool over old machinery and read every issue of "Collectible Automobile" when it comes out...

How many cars do you thnk you have had all together?

I wanted something tough and cheap for my Alaska road trip. That '79 GMC Suburban truck made that run, went to the Grand Canyon twice, took me to Nova Scotia and back, and then started to fall apart. There were few repairs, but it drank a lot of gas...

I'll get another fast one someday. I could have sold the Plymouth and kept the T/A, but the T/A had more things wrong with it, brought more on the trade-in, and the Plymouth is more comfortable for passengers (Imagine trying to put my 73-year-old mother in the back seat of
an '87 T/A) and more reliable. That car is tough as rocks! I doubt I'll be able to wear it out...

Really a great photo show of great cars ... wow, the truck drove 3x around the continent? Sounds really awesome! I still hope once to drive around the world ;o)
