  • The best guitarist ...

The best guitarist with the best rhythm section ever as far as I'm concerned, and with Plant pulling it all together, magic. I want to know what force brought these 4 together of all on earth...

  • Yeah, I'll have to ...

Yeah, I'll have to say JPJ was absolutely incredible! The Who is a different band. Blues is a genre known for it's slower bass lines rather than R and B like the Who.

JPJ is one of the best bass players ever, although John Entwistle of The Who is #1 in my opinion. His bass lines were MONSTROUS.

This is an excellent post. One of my very favorite Zeppelin songs. Robert Plant was terrific before he became so foppish.

  • Stop the flaming. ...

Stop the flaming. I'm sure Eric Clapton has tremendous respect for Zeppelin just like Zeppelin have respect for the music that Clapton makes. Music isn't about who is the best. Zeppelin has instilled passion in millions of people worldwide. That's all that needs to be said.

  • Plant is not the ...

Plant is not the hardest to replace. that would've had to have been John Bonham the greatsest drummer ever. i guess thats why they didnt replace him after he died because he was so good and out of respect.and it dont matter how long you sing if you dont got it then you dont. the drums was the thing holding zepp together listen to "thank you" or "rock and roll"

  • the reason page is ...

the reason page is so good is because he pushed himself. other guitarists did other things better. the list goes on and on... but page just exploded into every one of his riffs like he wanted to kill that guitar. he can rock so fuckin hard! but then he grabs an acoustic and blows your mind too. and then there's the tempo on "since i've been loving you." HARD song to play correctly. his timing is just spot on. and then you talk about all the amazing stuff he did in the studio!!! jesus. genius.

  • Plant is impossible ...

Plant is impossible to replace, or even imitate. All Led Zeppelin cover bands fail in this respect, because no-one will ever again be able to command the mic the way Plant did. Believe me, I've been singing for years, and I can't even come close.

  • I don't know man. ...

I don't know man. JPJ is very underrated; he is an amazing talent. The fact he has to cover Pagey's riffs is quite a feat. I have seen Clapton (Slowhand)in concert numerous times - he's great! But Jimmy's fills and swing can't be beat.
