Stan Meyer developed a water "splitter" that separated hydrogen from oxygen, and burned the hydrogen as fuel in an internal combustion engine.

I wonder why this technology has never been presented as an alternative to fossil fuels?

Stan Meyer- Water As Fuel- Part One

  • Stan was murdered ...

Stan was murdered right after he got a ~$70 million grant to start his own research center. He died after sipping his drink at a celebration dinner for his success. He suddenly said "I've been poisoned", jumped up from his chair, ran outside and died on the pavement. It's pretty clear the fossil fuel industry was behind every effort to discredit and intimidate him - to stop him at any cost.

  • But, keep in mind ...

But, keep in mind that with ordinary electrolysis say at 12V, the temperature of the water will rise and as a result, so will your current draw as the water becomes less dense. Using the method in the video, you are designing the cell(s) as a resonant antenna, choosing the proper frequency, and as a result, reducing the voltage/amperage needed to get this output. BETTER STUDY YOUR PHYSICS!

That much of gas output? That is just what any ordinary electrolysis can do.

Dude, you don't see the big piture! That what they want you to beleive, they want put doubts in your mind about his creditbility. You continue to pay 3.50+ for gas.. The devil is a lair.. come out of Babalyon and its deception.. Better yet, you prove Stan is a liar by building a WFC?

  • The key is not in ...

The key is not in water, nor in electrolysis. The paradox is that man hasn't learnt yet to exploit the largest reactor available for free, wich has always been sitting in front of him: it's called SUN (Super Unlimited Nrg) heheh ;)

  • When you do ...

When you do electrolysis, you also generate heat, which is energy lost. The most efficient processes involve super concuctors, etc., which have zero resistance, but even these devices require both energy to set the electrical current into motion, and lots of energy to keep the devices at very low temperatures.

  • You also have zero ...

You also have zero point energy, which you could call a perpetual motion device. Yet IBM is making nano robots that need a ZPF device to power it, hmmmmm, if the technology doesnt exist why buid machines to use such power supply. I think they know more than simple people like you and me my friend.

  • monkey boy, that is ...

monkey boy, that is what you have been taught and told therefore that is what you belive. You are also taught that you can't take the square root of a negative number, but it is possible. Electrolisis in its basic form is very ineficient, yet Stan Meyer is not using convetional electolisis. Tesla has the idea down pat, frequency is the key to the universe my friend.

  • It takes tons more ...

It takes tons more energy to split water, than you get back burning it. There is no such thing as a perpetual motion machine, there is no such thing as free energy. This all goes back to high school level physics. These people are nothing but con artists.

  • Why shouldn't this ...

Why shouldn't this be able to work? Water is made of Hydrogen after all. Anyway, we all ready have Hydrogen powered cars, which only emit water for exhaust! Not to mention that oil companies could convert to producing ethanol. That would not only end our dependence on petro, but it would also help out the farm industry as well! Oil companies just don't want to spend the money to convert over.

Meyer's claims about the Water Fuel Cell and the car that it powered were found to be fraudulent by an Ohio court in 1996.

Too good to be true, apparently.

  • ==It comes from a ...

==It comes from a natural resource, a cycle of nature if you like==

Yeah but those natural sources are:
    1. The fusion reaction in the sun
    2. the fission reaction by deaying radioactive materials in the earth's crust

Both of those conform to the laws of thermodynamics.

Ultimately, Trillions of years from now, they will run out of "Work Energy"

  • Yes you don't lose ...

Yes you don't lose the energy when you use petrol. As per the first law of thermodynamics. What you lose is it's ability to do useful work. As per the second law of thermodynamics.

If you can provide sufficient reproducable evidence to prove thermodynamics is wrong, then great.

    Where's your proof?

  • But you burn petrol ...

But you burn petrol over and over again and don't lose energy! It comes from a natural resource, a cycle of nature if you like and we refine it. But it's just crud. There is more energy is 1 square inch of quantum space to boil all the oceans of the world, thermodynamics is just one LAYER of science. It is correct on it's layer, wither interacting with other layers, it may not.

  • Why, because if you ...

Why, because if you get more energy out than what it took to split it, then you could run that process over and over again and achieve unlimited energy.

While we may not understand everything in Science, similarly you can't justify fantastical claims without fantastic evidence.

And last I checked, just like Cold Fusion, noone has been able to reproduce his work, and publish it in a peer reviewed physical science journal.

  • Why? Combustion is ...

Why? Combustion is just a catalyst for release of energy. This could be merely another catalyst - high voltage - something is happening there that is causing the water to, in effect, "combust" or catalyse into browns gas, and that can then be cumbsted back into water. Science does not at all levels full understand everything yet.

==Electrolysis is just ONE method of splitting water, it applies direct current, and is inefficient. There are other ways==

Like said. I don't doubt they can split water.

What I do doubt is that they can gain more energy than with it took to split the water in the first place.

However I also doubt they can do it more efficiently than electrolysis.

  • Unless you had some ...

Unless you had some catalytic material or chemical that could split the water efficiently. What if that material / chemical was a specific type of electrical frequency, at low current. Electrolysis is just ONE method of splitting water, it applies direct current, and is inefficient. There are other ways.

  • Oh well I don't ...

Oh well I don't doubt you can run your car on combusted hydrogen and oxygen.

What I highly doubt is that you gain more energy than what it took to split the water in the first place.

Otherwise you'd have a perpetual motion machine on your hands.

  • didn't see the ...

didn't see the videos?Thereis many people who made their car running with water, i know 2 systems, Pantone system, running with 80% of water & 20% gas, and the HHO gas system, the must, working with 100% water. Do some research on youtube with words HHO motor, watercar,pantone...
Why you can't trust water car isn't the reality?
Its a very simple system: water is separated in 2 molecules, oxygene+ hydrogen by electrolysis, then, they are burned by the engine, which out of spring of water.

and the reason why this is not an alternative to fossils fuels, its because, WATER IS FREE !!!
And fuel is expansive, how do you think they are rich? They don't want cars running with water, at all!
But water car, working really, its a fact.
