Only if when you say "long before" you mean 2000deg plus. Missouri do some research yourself get a steel pipe heat it in a wood fire or gas or whatever then try to bend it. You will find that it does not bend easily if at all. It's because of the material, the design and because that type of heat source is not sufficient to stress the steel.

The steel doesn't have to melt to be structurally unsound. Steel becomes flexible long before it begins to melt.

I am a welder by trade and I know that there is no way jet fuel, no matter if it is 10,000gals or 1mil, will ever get steel hot enough to melt. In order to melt steel oxygen levels need to be much higher than what's in the atmos. The tools I use to cut or heat steel reach temps of 2700deg plus, and I have to use a bottle of oxygen. I'm thinking the people making comments in agreement with the official story are planted here cause no one can be that stupid. Right?

Tell me, what steel frame building in history has fallen because of truss failure? Are there any pictures? During the history of steel frame buildings there have been cameras. sportguy, the Loose Change video is wrong about that "first steel building" claim. So are the conspiracy site you've been reading. But it doesn'b matter because it wasn't just fire that damaged WTC 7. It was also hit by the collapse of WTC 1. If you want to read NIST's initial report on the collapse, google NIST Appendix L. To some, Larry Silverstein said the word "pull", which meant the firefighters getting out of WTC 7. I can understand that. But how did it collapse? My point is if it collapsed due to fire, it would be the first steel building in history to do so.

The thermite/ate theory originated with former BYU Prof. Steven Jones, who had identified sulfur residues as the indicator or "marker" for thermate. I've read his paper & didn't see anything about phosphorus as a thermite/ate marker. Sulfur residues could likewaise have been caused by many things besides thermate.
