I tend to agree, but the base v6 model is going to cost about $10k less then the v8. So price could come into effect too.

The Volt won't be available to the public for at least 3yrs( if ever!). In that time Toyota and Honda will have their next generation lithium hybrids FOR SALE to the public. Besides, the volts maximum 40mile battery rage (in warm weather) is unacceptable! After that the 1.4L engine is running nearly non-stop. Why is it that the Tesla Roadster gets 250 miles per charge, yet G.M. falls so short?

305hp from a V6 is still more than many of the past 350s put out. But, yeah I see your point.

Gas mileage. Thats why. Not my preference either, but gotta take the economy and the general public into consideration.

they need an entry lvl v8. its either this v6 or a 400+ horse v8. Give me a mid lvl 350 horse v8, cough LS1. and i dont wanna hear about ls1 being old, it ran 13s with the 2000 camaros and it didnt kill that much gas.

GM Was part of a 25 Billion bell out a few weekes ago that didnt get alot of attention. Hopefully this car will help them in there sells.

thank god for this V6 camaro because im sick of the V6 Mustang, Charger, and 300C that take forever to get to 60mph

I'm talking about actually building a car that is as good as the Civic, and the Corolla!
G.M. can expect to sell roughly 40000 units per year... too much effort for virtually NO profit.

actually they need to cut their divisions they are too spread out....all they need are chevy and cadillac much like toyota and lexus.....and the chevy volt would be a much better solution then a civic....lol seriously our dependance on cars powered by internal combustion alone needs to go and hybrids are the way of the future but we have had it backwards for far to long and the volt finally got it right....as did the aptera but u can fit ppl in a volt easier then an aptera

G.M. must build a Corolla and Civic type car or it will die.
This car is blowing valuable cash that G.M. doesn't have.
Time isn't on their side... latest estimates say G.M. will collapse in less than 3yrs.
They must kill every pet project immediately, including this car!
