I have to say I don't think it's as simple as the severity of the punishments, but I agree that the restrictions make more victims.

Perhaps an economy that valued people for their contribution to society would cut down on crime.. naah, I know, I'm dreaming...

Deer overpopulation is a 'real' problem in Tennessee. Everybody I know, including myself, has had an 'entanglement' with a deer at one time or another. When I was a kid, all I ever saw was one 'white tail' jumping outta our corn patch. Now, I can't drive down hwg. 70 without seeing a herd somewhere. That's the hwg. I hit one on at 35 mph. All gun laws and restrictions do is create more victims! The UK and Australia are perfect examples! The problem is not severe enough punishments for criminals!

well, we've only had a ban on handguns since 1997, but it doesn't stop criminals carrying them, and the police carry them more than I'd like, too. Weapons law in the UK is a joke, making it basically illegal to protect yourself at all. The criminals win, the police get to look like they're protecting us while taking away our basic need for self protection.

I've never tried Heather Mills, but cannibalism is on my to do list.

Guns are good, banning them is bad, where-ever they get banned the crime and homicide rate due to guns increases. Innocent citizens lose the ability to protect themselves against criminals, where as criminals can get a gun ban or no-ban they are criminals don't ya' know? We are losing to many rights, the Government of the United States has been in a State of Emergency since 9/11, giving them the right to impose as many bans tariffs taxes and laws as they wish. Wake up people, your being used.
