    Thanks for your help. I just bought a new bike at Walmart and the gear shifting was bad. I was scratching my head looking for possible problems with the shifting until I saw your video. It was pretty easy. Thanks for the video. By the way, how having the larger or smaller front gear (bikes with 3 gears in front) will affect the adjusting of the rear derailer? Do you recommend making the rear derailer adjustement in the mid-gear? Tanks a lot for your help!

    Thanks, that's very helpful. I've been putting it off for weeks and sticking to the few gear combos which seem to work. The error seems consistent throughout the range but I think that the derailleur may be slightly out of place as you've suggested. Thanks again.
