Evgeni Plushenko 2006

I hardly ever see any passion in his skating. He has the moves, the ability, but not the passion, not that ineffable quality that so MANY other skaters have. He's pure technique and no emotion... most of the time. Sometimes it's there, but usually he's just stonefaced.

I wasnt suprid when he didnt present ay passion in his progam he was poblyscared shitless and didnt want to mess it up.iv been tat way before at a competiton its scary being out on th ice just being inches away fro something you want so bad

i hope that one day ill be just as good as him he is the worlds best skater and my idol

Evgeny is definitely one of the greats, but that night he was a little flat in the presentation area. He didn't "get into it" enough to make it very exciting. He skated with the attitude of "well...if I skate clean, the judges will give it too me. No need to stretch."
