I dont pretend to be a genius. But the biggest and hardest step in my mind is producing those first set of tools, in order to make more tools. These first tools would have to be made by hand practically am I right?

1. Electric power, this is quite simple if you use semiconductors based on silicon or GaAs (often used in Optoelectronics for Bragg's mirrors <50nm)
2. Silicon, silicon and silicon again.
3. Controled by a chip connected with electric engines. Programmed and ready to use.

anything can be "animated" using a computer - what is being represented in this video is way to complex. think of all the moving parts in side of a car engine... better yet a gear driving watch... show me the insides of those machines... what makes'em tick?

1)what moves those assembly lines, what is their source of energy
2)what these assembly lines are made of if they are able to work on molecular structure
3)and the most important one, how u control these lines

nano tech has soo much bullshit in it. too bad most of us dont understand a basics of molecular physics

So dont the molecules in the product react with the manufacturing mechanisms... and how do you program that thing... so many questions... It may happen one day... but i doubt it will happen in the way described here.

i bet the we are already using those nano-biomachines (ribosomes)or their synthetic counterpart to assemble bigger structures, but they are in development and in secret.

This idea isnt far fetched at all. Ribosomes in cells construct complext molecules from smaller molecules (amino acids) and some bacteria can even synthesis amino acids from smaller molecules. All life is an example of molecular machinery and technology is an example of man taking something in nature and improving it.

This technology (althought a few decades off) could solve many problems that previous technologies have created. the overuse of natural resourses will become a thing of the past, a reverse of this machine could dissasemble things into atoms. it would be the ultimate recycling

yea they would, so, the entire thing would have to be "assembled" at finite temperature. Same thing happens with Atomic Microscopes, at finite temp, all atoms are visible, at room temp every other molecule is missing because of its relative movement
