Actually it depends upon the Tradition of Wicca. Those with a stronger connection to Northern Europe mark the New Year at Samhain, those with a stronger connection to Southern Europe mark it at the Spring Equinox. The latter view has become very rare today however.

Ah my year started Jan 19th...glad to have been abel to watch a few of your videos. So far a good year in growth in music, and understanding and knowledge for myeself. I chronicled my growth also, so it is a pleasure to watch yours grow and blossom.

The term Witch is neither male or female. Its a word to describe someone "Who has their WITS about them" meaning someone with brains.

I'm also male, and would like to be called as a witch than a wizard. I think the word wizard is meant to the one selected (male) witch to serve the kink or a coven.
But I'm no special or slected. I'm just a witch. I'm a boy.

We celebrate the New (solar) year in the April 13th.
