UPDATE: Im working on a version with a bolt action barrel and a bigger combustion chamber.

that was relly cool.i made one but not ful ingetced insted of the thum tacks i put a liltle hole there and just put a wire stright down.and i put a shild in front of my wires in the barrel thing so the hair thing did not get on the wire and not spark

can you just take the metal tip off the lighter, screw it back together,(the lighter), and put the wire on the two thumb tacks to make a sparker?
