    Thanks, I did not realize all that. I've been having problems learning to play because my fingers are not long enough to wrap the neck of my guitar. I never even thought about whether or not there were acoustics that have a smaller neck.

    Takamine are also pretty good I would say, but hey its all down to personal choice - as you say though you get what you pay for.

    Age is a factor - I have a 35 year old Marlin (yes Marlin) which was a lower priced copy in its time, but I wont ever part with it - it has mellowed into a great sound.

    which one is better bigger ones or smaller ones?
    i tried the bigger ones but its hard to reach for some frids, and i tried the smaller one and the strings were too close together and it was hard to hit one string by itself

    Generally good info on buying guitars, except he didn't mention VINTAGE guitars (25 years or older). They ALWAYS sound better than new guitars, and will increase in value. I have a Gibson J-50 (1966) and a newer Santa Cruz H model (someday will be a classic).
