    One Foot in the Grave should have been placed much higher than #10 in the 'Britain's Best Sitcom' poll that the BBC did a few years ago.

    Okay, so it's not QUITE as good as the likes of Only Fools and Horses, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers and Dad's Army but I find it cleverer than the Vicar of Dibley and just plain funnier than Yes Minister, Open All Hours, Porridge and The Good Life.

    #5 perhaps?

    I am American and was not even aware of this show until last year. It is a shame that this show is not more well known in America. Every single episode of this show is pure brilliance. The plots are hilarious and Victor Meldrew is one of the all time great charcters on television. British people have so many great shows and I think One Foot in the Grave is very much underated. Hats off to the BBC for this show. I just wish they had made more episodes.
