Then you will say it is somebody's 'choice' to wear an under wear having a figure of buddha.

Buddhists respect lord buddha alot and they worship him. Buddhists don't even wear hats or slippers when go near a buddha statue..
Use of Lord buddha's figure and his name for things which he rejected is directly disrespecting him. It is too simple even though you try to pretend you don't get it.

If the restaurant has nothing to do with Lord Buddha why are you have a problem with it?If i had a figure of Buddha in my house and i didn't really believe in him or his philosophies, would i be disrespecting him? If so, in that case a lot of people have crosses as tattoos, or the OM tattoo. My thing is that is a personal choice. It has nothing to do with him. If a restaurant decided to put a cross outside, its their choice.

What ranbonzy should understand is that the Bar has nothing to do with "greed centered things" as he wrote below. Anyway, I told him to visit Buddha Bar site and to complain there about his main concern.

My simples point is that 'A restuarant has nothing to do with Lord buddha' nor a music band. Only thing they need is to insult lord buddha... THey use the founder of a phylosophy, which tells how useless these greed centered things. So a bar uses someone who rejected what they do...

God is NOT a general name. God is a supreme being(or so we are taught). He is greater than all mortals. You cant compare him to Allah, Buddha or Jesus for that matter. I respect Buddha and his philosophy but I still don't think its a big deal that restaurant has his name. The restaurant doesn't personify Buddha, anyone with commonsense would know that. The only people who have issues with are ignorant fundamentalists. In India there are many restaurants with the name Allah on it.

God is a general name but Jesus and Alaah are not like that. Do you know any resturant with these names???
Your veiw point is so clumsy becasue you don't see such resturant. Buddha is the name of a great man. General name 'man' will not respect him but use of 'buddha' as a name of an errotic resturant has nothing but disrespect for one of the most observed religions/phylosophies in the world...

I personally don't find it disrespecting. Theres club venue called God's Kitchen and i don't have a problem with that. Its just a name. But lets say Buddha Bar happens to be a cult in disguise disrespecting the religion itself then i can understand.
