Goodwood 2000, TVR Cerbera Speed 12

Peter Wheeler the TVR boss of the time decided not to sell it to the general public because the performance was so extreme.

for those of you who didnt know the cerbera speed 12 has been on production a couple times and there is word of a new one in the near future. the new sagaris is coming to the u.s. for 2008. an older speed 12 will cost you around $245,000. i have loved this car for a long long time. its always gonna be my favorite

only tvr sagaris is more beautiful than this baby..i love it =) its one of the rarest car am i right?

This video was shot before the Spolier was added. The back end was rebuilt of mostly titanium which was when the spolier was added to a cost of £35000.

Afraid you're wrong. It never raced at Le Mans, EVER. Only 5 engines were ever built, 1 Speed 12 GTS racer (the white on on the jeremy clarkson vid), W112BHG (the only road going one), and 3 Cerbera Speed 12 GT2 racers.

TVR built around 20 before Mr. Wheeler deemed it unsuitable for the road. The Speed 12 raced for awhile at le mans and to keep the race car running, all of the road versions were stripped and gutted for parts. In 2002, a private party paid for a single road going version using many of the only remaing pieces coming straight off the gt1 racer. The car was named TVR Cerbera Speed 12.

I will give some insight to those who are saying preposterous things about the speed 12. The speed twelve was developed originally as a ultra high performance concept vehicle. It was intended to be the fastest road car and the bases of the 97-00 gt1 le mans racer. To be eligible at the time of the start of gt1, all manufactures needed to have at minimum 25 road going versions of their cars.
