This is a video of four P-47 Thunderbolts taxiing at the 2005 Planes of Fame Airshow at Chino, California. Now this is what I call ROLLING AMERICAN THUNDER! This airshow featured FIVE Thunderbolts taking to the air. The fifth Thunderbolt (the Planes of Fame's own P-47G) is visible parked on the left at the end of the video. Steve Hinton flew the P-47G in an aerobatic display and also filled in between the other flying sequences, so this P-47 is not shown taxiing in the video. Actually, SIX Thunderbolts were present at the show. The sixth Jug was the Yanks Air Museum's (also based at Chino) YP-47M. However, the YP-47M did not fly. This was one of the very first videos I took with my first video camera, a tiny Sony, so please take it easy on me :). The flying sequences didn't turn out so well so I didn't include them but I felt that the sight of these four monsters taxiing should be presented for others to enjoy! This was truly a sight to behold. If you'd like, please also check out my other YouTube warbird videos. Thanks! - octane130 -
