Yep that is the reason we removed all religions from politics and became a secularized country and a seculariezed people. Why doesn't Islam do the same?

God gave women faces so they could be identified and express themselves. One woman said that covering the face with the niqab (face veil in addition to the hijab) was not the norm in muslim countries. This is what was enforced in Taliban controlled Afghanistan and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. All the wives of the prophet were completely covered, so the practice of veiling women is deeply rooted in the tradition of Islam.
