In honor of his retirement/ Rookie and Carolyn Scott/ Golden Retriver 14 years old. My cup runneth over that Rookie is still at my side. Thank you SAR for this beautiful tribute!

    Rookie personifies the heart and spirit of a true CHAMPION. I have always watched your videos with nothing but a smile on my face, who can help but smile watching the two of you having such fun together. Today I watch this one with a small smile and with tears. My own Bossco was a Golden R Black lab mix. Looking like a very oversized Flat coat. Boss too had that spark, of brains, love and joy, he was a Therapy Dog and I lost him to cancer to at 14.

    Rookie had some health issues surface this year. Despite the overwhelming odds he has triumphed over each with his amazing attitude for life. The most important lesson he has taught me has been to live in the moment as he does. Without this lesson my days would have been much darker filled with worry and fear.     Carolyn and Rookie you have touched me in a way that only a Golden and his owner would know.The love and respect you have for each other is beyond belief. Shown by the tears of pure joy streaming down my cheeks as I watched the tribute to Rookie. I once read or heard that Dog spelled backwards spells GOD.If this is true Rookie has earned his title. Carolyn and Rookie you have, for a short time ,truely made this a better world.

After reading this, I was in tears for the rest of the video... The song is so well chosen! Well done! May he be healthy for a long time more!     Having hosted Carolyn in a workshop at our area kennel club this weekend, and getting to know her and learn of Rookie's illness, made me seek this video out. What an amazing dog. Carolyn you and Rookie will be in our deepest prayers and thoughts as you go thru this time together. Thanks for a great workshop and introduction to Freestyle. You are an amazing lady!
