Washington is flat out dead on when it comes to playing Malcom. There is a 15 part documentary on Malcom on You Tube and he even sounds like him.

I'm surprised that Denzel Washington is still a devout Christian after portraying Malcolm X in this film.
It's obvious that everything about the main current identiy of most African-Americans was forced upon them during slavery.
Everything from their mostly English names to their Christian faith so it's really surprising that so many Black people in America are so into Christiany considering the history and how their ancestors became Christians.
