  • This is really our ...

This is really our transition into the Aquarius Age, a completely novel event. Thanks Google, to have had this idea, and the people to conceptualize this. We are in the starting holes of a new cultural history, and music, the universal language, is the transmitting agent of the new values.

Half of how you described this doesn't make sense.

  • The idea is good, ...

The idea is good, but the symphony itself is crap, sorry Tan Dun. Poor theme development, no structural unity, modest melodical gift, excessive use of ugly percussion and fake emotionalism. A piece of contemporary art, in the worst meaning of the word. Just horrible that YouTube Symphony squandered its unique chance by the decision to play this sort of music.

Surprise, with the idea of unifying musicians, the score is not in the public domain. Some "G. Schirmer, Inc." wants to make money on it.
