Anne Hathaway - If I Could Only Dream This World Away

yes although they are shwing fottage from the phantom of the opera, this song is from one of Andrew Lloyd Webber's other musicals, "The Woman in White", they probably used this song because it matches whats going on in the story. this song is not from Phantom so you can all stop saying "Its good but its not christine" because its not from this production.

Anne was actually a shoo-in to play Christine, but Princess Diaries 2 was filming at the same time so she had to give it up, and the role went to Emmy.

I'm guessing this is from the workshop recording, does anybody know where I can buy it? It's absolutely beautiful.

I love both Anne and Emmy and I'm sure they are both very capable of playing Christine well. Lets hope one day they do something together.

hm... anne does have a good voice, but i think emmy rossum's voice is better, even at her young age.
anne hathaway would have made a great christine, but i think emmy rossum captured the character perfectly.
i still prefer emmy as christine.

This is a beautiful song, very much in the spirit of "Phantom". The Andrew Lloyd Webber connection doesn't hurt. Anne's version is the best, but she's still not Christine Daaé. I love Anne Hathaway as an actress, but Emmy Rossum just INHABITED Christine. For good and bad, that's the role she's gonna be remembered for. She IS Christine Daaé.

But on the video...Anne has an amazing voice! I really like that song.

Emmy did a great job, especially for her age. I'm not sure if Anne could of pulled it off. Anne is a great singer and I would of loved to see her in Phantom. IDK which I perfer.

I would have loved this movie so much more with Anne. PD2 was amazing, but if only she could have done both. Greaaaat voice!
