WWW.AIRSOFTARMS.COM!! READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING!!!

This is what I refer to as an Airsoft Armored Vehicle, or basically a big toy tank, Codename: Greta. It is the second of two tank vehicles I'm restoring. This tank is co-owned by Airsoft Arms and Red Dragon Paintball (www.reddragonpaintball.com).

These tanks were originally mass produced as a ride for amusement parks for a game called "Tank Battle". There are also boats made from a similar design for boat battle games. They are built out of fiberglass and plywood and are a completely original design and are unfortunately difficult to find spare/replacement parts for. The front canopy opens, the turret rotates 360 degrees and fires raquetballs about 100-150 feet. This particular tank can also be refitted with a water cannon for soaking your friends, or a support gun like an M249 airsoft rifle for certain games! It can carry two people; a driver and a turret gunner. It is used in conjuction with a referee at airsoft events and can be "destroyed" using mines, satchel charges, RPG's or rocket lauchers (like a nerf football launcher) or by other scenario specific ways.

Contrary to popular belief, or that to people who just don't read this desciption, I did not built this myself, but am simply restoring the old ones I've been able to find.

Please DO NOT use profanity in your response. ALL responses containing profanity WILL BE REMOVED!!

How would that get taken down on a airsoft match? Are they supposed to sneak up to the front, open the top then shoot the S**t out of the driver?

  • OH MY DAMN YAM S**t ...

OH MY DAMN YAM S**t , I have been searching for info on "that old racquetball tank game" for so long! FINALLY! INFORMATION!

In the 80's there was a huge fenced off area on the opposite side of Beechnut from what was then known as Fame City in Houston, TX. I could not believe I was watching a bunch of (what at that young age looked like) full-size tanks shooting at each other. I can even remember the sign in all caps stick-on letters...helvetica bold blue on white...TANK BATTLE etc fine print
