Funk Drum Play-Along #1 - Drum Lessons

I prefer to play barefooted. it makes me able to "feel" the pedal and how much effort i put into playing the bass drum

I play on socks at home, and with skate-shoes when I practice with my band. The don't have many profile too =)

but with shoes on, I can play bassdrumbeats cleaner, like in 2:24-2:33 on one pedal

without any shoes on, I can play a little bit faster

I prefer shoes, cause it gives more power to bassnotes '~'

something special about his feet i suppose, and tennis shoes are fairly common among drummers (thin soles, many times they have no shape at all to them, allowing more comfort while playing, and thus higher speeds.

are you serious , he was laying it out the whole time, you probably cant get past understanding anything that doesnt hit on 2 and 4 , the guy was laying it out and his chops are so there

In the "More Info" section of this vid there's a link to the song that you can download on their website for free. Otherwise, I'd suggest checking out a P2P file sharing program and getting a bunch of funk. One of my favorite tracks to drum to is SuperWHAT? off the Superbad soundtrack. :)
