Thats a really cool car, very impressive... but to say it didn't make any pollution is wrong... who made the batteries?... how many batteries have been burnt up and thrown out?

Electricity in the Oregon and Washington area is 72% renewable - from a combination of hydro, wind, geothermal and solar. Yes, there is one nuke on the Columbia River, a coal plant in Centralia and a gas-fired plant. But the combination is much cleaner than a gasoline engine.

You fail because you're making a "false cause" argument. Not knowing which power plant created his power does not mean that we don't know pollution was created by a power plant.

You could run the generator on biodiesel produced from waste oil or ethanol from sugar or fruit cannery waste, in turn refined/distilled by a solar-powered refinery. The energy loop CAN be closed. We've just let ourselves be held hostage by big oil, steel, rubber, and the nearly-bankrupt Detroit 3.

Oregon has lots of Hydro & Wind power plants-Pacific Power offers users the option of choosing "Blue Sky" package, which funds wind and biomass electricity purchases from Oregon and Idaho. The Pacific Northwest now a leading solar energy developer, and research on wave energy by Oregon State University and DOE will make Oregon pretty clean. People like plasmaboy show the true American spirit that got us this far!

the car didnt put out air pollution? How did he charge the car? The power plant put out pollution to charge that car... I love this idea, but too many people think its free and totally pollution free.
