It is hard to make these kind of measurements on small scale. Driving pattern affects the consumption to a very large part. So even if most of it are good things to do you have to try for yourself over a long period of time to get an accurate figure.

You can mix in some vegetable oil. I'm not sure in what ratio though, you should google it.

Well I ride a bicycle, no need to worry about gas, Just bike-bandits and the weather. :D

I wouldn't suggest driving without the spare tire. It is illegal in most countries to drive without at least one spare.
