    i can't thank you enough for putting this together. this is my favorite movie of all time. my mother grew up in the 40's too, and now has alzheimer's at 83.
    this should be shown on the alzheimer's association site.

In the case of your friend, you have to determine the cause (etiology) of the dementia, some are reversible, some are not... So you can bring your friend to a psychiatrist. Peace!
