I built this magnet motor before researching about the Perendev design. My experience is that it is an EXCELLENT magnetic brake!

  • Not enough visual description.

Needs a motion indicator (such as painting white lines on the black rotor) for the video.
Perhaps also angle the camera for a better 3D perspective for viewers, some of us have never seen one of these before.

  • Of course it's a ...

Of course it's a brake, it shouldn't be made out of metal - the eddy currents generated by the moving lines of flux will cause a braking effect in the metal bar(conducting metals become magnetic when a current flows through them).

Actually, I don't think I made my point correctly in that last reply. Let me put it this way. We didn't get to the computers we have today instantly. We started with punch cards and vacuum tubes... Actually, the first computer was a mechanical calculator.

  • I'll bet, when I ...

I'll bet, when I say laser printer, you don't think quantum physics; however, they rely upon a principle called the quantum leap in order to function properly. Just because something is big, doesn't mean there isn't anything going on at very deep levels. Think about computers. Right now, CPUs are down to the 45nm process. A little further and you will be able to call them nanotechnology. Big, yet very small.

when people speaks about quantum machines, my mind automatically conjures images of very small and complicated, ultra-precision devices, like nano scaled, electrons, and other elementary particles...not a simplistic magnetic rings...sorry... :(

  • Fortunately for him ...

Fortunately for him, by quantum physics, nothing is impossible; only improbably. Besides, there were a lot of things that were "impossible" 100 years ago that are common technology today. It isn't important that what you are attempting works so much as that you are attempting it. Most big discoveries are made by mistake and those mistakes occur when you are "attempting" to do something.

Nice brake.. with this you should never have to replace your brake stuff in your car that cost money. Just use magnatic brakes from now on :) hihi

Yeah, and a video that shows all sides, and proves that it isn't connected to an external power source too.

I made it for a little under $100.00 for the magnets. But i put in about 60 or more hours of labor in design time. I own the laser system so cutting parts were no cash outlay only time on machine.

I have a replica model of the Perendev motor. It obviously wouldn't stay running, but it definately rotates freely.

all magnets are set in repel mode-Would I go through 100 hours of drawing something like this in CAD and have everything laser cut for precision and then arrange the magnets in attract mode...i think not...i was born ugly...not stupid...

  • Uh, I guess you ...

Uh, I guess you don't get it. He is ACTUALLY saying that his copy of the Perendev motor doesn't work like the Perendev motor. It acts like a break instead. The Perendev motor keeps moving

On the subject of the perendev motor, if all magnets in the system are facing North to North, or South to South, it would be VERY EASY to move the rotor.

I guess you lined up North and South poles. It's no wonder your machine stopped cold.

Oh Gee I never thought of trying both stators at the same time...silly me...If both stators are close to the roter, king kong cant move it. Perendev Magically starts running with the stators moving in slowly, i tried it it dosnt work and NO ONE has proved it to work either!
