Palm Pre Review - Better Than the IPhone?

I like iPhone very much, but this is realy good !

Every new phone that comes out claims it will be an iPhone killer, but it never is. The Pre looks like a cool product, but an iPhone KILLER? Be serious. Will people sell their iPhones and switch to this thing? Will Apple get stuck with millions of iPhones they cant move off their shelves? No. Apple isnt worried.
However now people that dont want an iPhone but want some of the cool features have an option. But it won't kill the iPhone.

Apple revolutionized a UI and won on that. Companies see the reaction to it, so they try to do something similar to get a chunk of change from that. LG and Samsung right now are really trying hard to copy the same format, but you don't get the same richness as what is currently out.

I give credit to Apple for pushing the bar on UI development, thus giving competitors an idea of what we like, but I don't give apple credit for pretending that they invented the touch screen.

Ive been a palm os user for years and the treo 755p beats the iphone and its 3years old so This is Going to be big it is still a smart phone and linux based what more can you ask for

Apple is revolutionary in my opinion. Notice after the iPhone was announced, touch screen phones just started getting really popular, especially with capacitive multitouch screens. It is certainly revolutionary, but I'm not saying its the best. It sort of annoys me when people say a phone S**ks because its a copy. In that case, all phones S**k compared to the original cellphone. The iPhone really seems a for-fun phone, definitely not suited at all for any productive work.

They both seem very great phones, in my opinion, I like the Pre better (based on what I have seen so far). I would prefer a larger keyboard that slides sideways, but I guess having it slide down would allow the microphone to be close to the mouth for better sound. Palm has really been letting me down for a while, I didn't even expect this phone. I figured all of their software engineers had left, but I guess not, or they have new ones. Either way, the phone looks promising.

ehh i doubt this phone alone will affect much as far as the iphone is concerned. whatever phone you think is better really is opinion, but im sure the next iphone is coming soon and will once again be ahead of the game... that just seems to be the pattern.

I agree, i got an iPhone and now im waiting for this phone, i hope i can get my iPhone sold to get this, looks fantastic and it seems to be smooth to use and no software locks(?). Android looks good too, but i think this is better.

and if this is the i phone killer then the helio ocean must be a iphone killer to bc.u can google from the main screen...has 3mp camera...browser runs on opera mobile4...and is duel slide with full keyboard and slides to a regular number pad...everything this phone as done has already been done by other phones n so has the iphone

why do people still say the iphone is the best phone out STILL its been so many phone that has came out already thats going to be and already are better than the iphone like all the HTC phones are way better and can do way more

Don't get me wrong, this phone looks fantastic, but I'm starting to get bored of all phones being released as touch screens and being called straight away "iPhone Killer"! If every phone that gets released nowadays is gonna have an iPhone complex, things are gonna get real boring..... Yawn.

Apple is not revolutionary... They remodeled to look revolutionary to basic/newb users, which in this case has worked on you.

iPhone is littered with limitations, yet you think it's a revolutionary phone?
