This (as well as Paul Hardcastles '19') are great tributes to the memory of those that fought in what must have been the most unimagineable hell, for both sides. Great that they are being remembered since few if any recieved any hero's welcome after that they had been through, in fact even got shunned.

With all due respect to ALL soldiers who died in this war, I have to point out to you that our soldiers did NOT die for us although they did die serving our government of that time. They would only die for us if in fact our country was under attack and it wasn't. We went over to their country and attacked them. Even though the VC were the enemy, they were also just people trying to protected their country from years of foreign invasion. Just to put things into perspective.

Made me almost cry

My Father was one of those yanks who came to Darwin with the South Dakota National Guard at end of Dec 41. from that day on he loved Australia. He went and visited many times before his death last year at 93. he brought me quite a bit of music. But my Favorite was "if you don't fight you lose" by redgum.that really woke me up to how we have treated the world.. We expect everyone we ever helped to worship us.but we never seem to acknowledge the help of others in our troubles. So arrogant...

these men fought and died for us and no matter how anyone treated them originally, they'll always be heroes to me

your right and this song gives you an idea of what they might have gone through but i'm only 19 years old and this song brings me to tears and no i'm not a female i am a guy and in most cases it's ok for a male to cry
