Art Fennell Reports examines what it would mean if Puerto Rico became the 51st state in the U.S.
I agree with a lot of things in independence and as a fellow patriot we both care about whats better for our country but to me I see the fact that were part of the US to be a bendicion cuando hay tantos paises como nuestros mismos vecinos Rep Dominicana que se mantan por llegar a nuestro pais, porque desperdiciar una oportunidad unica ahora si ellos no nos aceptan pues claro que viva libre puerto rico!

By thaanonymous2 [Affiliate User] 1224928665 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI heard only 46% wanted puerto rico to become a state. atleast according to the last election
By robnum1 [Affiliate User] 1224900285 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemovePuerto Rico can do it better than U.S by being independent!!!
By VeXeR360 [Affiliate User] 1224889821 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemovePuerto Rico has a population of over 4 million going on 5 million our economy is no as bad as this guy thinks it is but we do suffer if the US suffers just make us a state already congress we've been waiting for 110 years damn it

By Emmets [Affiliate User] 1224590329 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIt is time for the US to give up Puerto Rico. I say this as an American and not as a Puerto Rican. We cannot even take care of the people in our own country let alone an island in the Caribbean.
By YogaNate79 [Affiliate User] 1224268321 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWith this statement you are correct, Puerto Ricans statistically pay more into Puerto Rican resident taxes than they pay into the I.R.S. << Therfore according to your statement we pay into the I.R.S. (The IRS is the US government agency responsible for tax collection).
By Mameyal [Affiliate User] 1224251359 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveAGAIN... you are incorrect.
Most Puerto Ricans do not pay federal income taxes. They pay U.S. Federal payroll taxes as well as paying Puerto RICAN income taxes.
Puerto Ricans statistically pay more into Puerto Rican resident taxes than they pay into the I.R.S. We know this because per capita, Puerto Rico has an average per capita income lower than the 50 states.
You are mistaking in regards to paying income taxes, for your information YES WE DO.
You say, pay up or get out; once again you are mistaking, in addition to paying income taxes, we Puerto Ricans have also paid with blood along great Americans that have died and injured in all US wars since 1898.
We have paid our dues, and one day we will become the 51st state of our great nation.
