    i understand where ur coming from, but there are those who only choose it as a last resort. my little brother has it severly and it has affected his life educationally, socially, and emotionally. My family tride there absolute best to help him as best as we could, and the results is that he would backstrack all that taught him. so finally we decide he might need medication and today my lil bro is very happy in all 3 aspects. it doesn't need to be over perscribed but it is unfortunaly needed.

    I don't know though. To me, ADD is just a sham because parents don't know how to discipline their own kids. Before they "discovered" ADD the perfect cure was a smack accross the face. That seemed to do the trick. These ADD drugs are class 2 drugs in the same category as morphine and demerol. It's a dangerous drug and shouldn't be used to "cure" or "prevent" this so called "ADD".
