Heart attacks kill almost 700,000 men and women each year in the United States. Signs of a heart attack usually include chest discomfort. Symptoms of a heart attack can be different in a man than the heart attack symptoms in a woman. Heart attacks should be suspected if you experience pressure or pain in your chest, shortness of breath, nausea, dizziness or anxiety.
I'm 21 and I have had A LOT of stress and anxiety lately due to various reasons. I have been getting a squeezing sensation in my heart area and I sometimes get a very fast heart rate, mostly in the morning. I eat very healthy but I don't get any exercise, so I'm thinking I need to start working out. Is it pretty uncommon for 21 year olds to have heart attacks? I know you can't diagnose me. I'm seeing my cardiologist next week.

By Antaraxenox [Affiliate User] 1212100529 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI have one question for you Doc. What should I do in my situation? I have chronic pain in the back that iradiates to my arm, neck, chest and jaw. As I've heard this is one of the principal symptoms of a heart attack. I have done many electro and echocardiograms. They turned out to be absolutely healthy. So now everytime my pain increases in the region of the chest I never discard the possibility of a heart attack. I am on Adderall. What can I do? Thanks.

To everyone else - don't self-diagnose (you really can't do it) and if you're worried, go and see your own doctor.
There's no way I have the ability to diagnose you and that's not what these videos are for.

By Carloman1982 [Affiliate User] 1201648506 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removedoctor I am 32 years old and have a very fatty diet and drink alot of coke. At least once a day I experience throbbing pains in my chest majority of the time on my left side of my chest and into my back on the left side. I was told by my family doctor that it probubly is muscle spasms because of the line of work that I am in (machine builder). My question is should I find a second opinion?
