Lisa Abourezk, VP of Marketing at Oovoo http://www.oovoo.com, talks to Byron Gordon SEO-PR about the sucess of Oovoo's GoogleTV campaigns. Oovoo is a software that allows you to talk face to face with up to six people at a time in high quality video. Since video chat is not a very well known category, Oovoo wanted to introduce video chat newbies to the experience of video chat, and they decided that the best way for OOvoo to do that is to demonstrate it using video. Ooovoo approached the media agency Gotham Direct to produce these videos, and Gotham Direct suggested using GoogleTV ads. Abourezk says the key factors of why they chose GoogleTV was its affordability, measurability, and that advertisers can test their ads in small amounts while also offering the option to plan and buy on a daily or weekly basis. This enabled Oovoo to see what was working for them and to optimize the campaign accordingly. The end result was a 500% increase in website traffic, a 50% reduction in costs, and the best performing tactic out of all of Oovoo's media campaigns.
