  • With so much ...

With so much extremism already present in the region and its neighborhood, I don't see the reason why wouldn't groups like Taliban use independent Kashmir for their operations. With no Indian Army to keep check, and Pakistani forces already busy in Waziristan and Swat, Kashmir would become a haven for these fundamentalists. Plus, Kashmir is landlocked and as an independent state with poor infrastructure and minimal resources, it just can't survive. Well, the argument can go on forever.

  • Well, I agree I ...

Well, I agree I never expected such passion around this small video about Udaipur, and not, as we made a mistake, the Taj.
But it's not fair to say a free, Islamic Kashmir would become a haven for Islamic Fundamentalists. Not all Isamic countries suffer from Islamic Fundamentalism!

  • Quick points: ...

Quick points: India's per capita income (PPP) is 3,802 and Pak's is 2,744. India is much bigger than Pak yet more wealthier per-capita wise. And FYI, I am studying in US, not working. And, please, don't even compare India's computer industry with Pakistan's. Lol

Fact remains, Taj Mahal is in India and was built by Indians. Just because Mughals ordered its construction doesn't make it non-Indian. It's like saying Statue of Liberty is French!! Lol

  • Hehehe.....typical ...

Hehehe.....typical Indian behavior. It's obvious you could own a computer only from money earned in the USA.

Anyway, Shah Jahan is a Persian name. He was born in Lahore. Do you have any idea where it is? The language the Mughals spoke was Persian, not Hindi or Sanskrit or Tamil. The Mughals were neither Indian nor Pakistani.

  • I don't why is this ...

I don't why is this issue of Kashmir is being brought up when the video is on Taj Mahal. But some quick points:
Kashmir is better under India because if it becomes independent, it is economically unviable. Kashmir under Pakistan would be worse as Islamic extremism would rise there.
Bottomline: The only thing which is preventing Kashmir from becoming another Afghanistan, or Waziristan or Swat Valley, is the Indian Army.
