  • Dude are you dense. ...

Dude are you dense. It's not about Sammy charting. It's about Dave NOT CHARTING in nearly 2 decades. 1991. And he barely snuck in. That means anybody (and everybody) with a slight hit single from 1992 on has out done Roth. EVERYONE.

And more than double the sales? 18 is less than half of 32? Interesting math you have there. And Diver Down and Fair Warning weren't heavily played because they weren't that good. Even Eddie has said those albums weren't that good. But I'm sure your right. Not EVH

  • Roth Van Halen only ...

Roth Van Halen only got heavy MTV exposure with "1984"......MTV was hardly showing any Fair Warning or Diver Down videos because it was still a new network.......meanwhile, Van Hagar's run enjoyed the peak of MTV's popularity and yet they still failed to sell half the records Van Roth did.

You are clinging hard to this #22 chart position 10 yrs. ago......LOL.....you fail, bud........besides, Britney Spears charted higher than Sammy ever did.........you think she's a better artist ?? LOL

  • Speaking of the ...

Speaking of the charts. When's the last time a Van Halen track of any kind other than with Hagar charted? Let's see, the Roth reunion...um no....Cherone.....um no.......Roth re-reunion....ummm no...... Were it not for the 1984 album (after which Roth left, thinkin' he'd be fantastic solo LOLOLOL), Roth wouldn't be remembered. I grew up during that time. I was there for it. Pre-1984 it wasn't that people over all didn't know Van Halen. They weren't impressed.

  • Funny. Roth era ...

Funny. Roth era Halen didn't get mtv exposure and yet made videos. So while other rock bands were getting exposure, Van Halen was not. And as far as sales. Your right, Roth era sold more. The Roth era also did 2 more albums than the Hagar era. 6 albums to 4 douche. And odd thing is, if you take 1984 out of the equation, sales are near identical, even with Roth having an extra album. As for Red Voodoo hitting 22. Yep it was '99. Roth hasn't sniffed the charts since '91. Not solo or in Van Halen..

  • Facts are like ...

Facts are like kryptonite for you Red Doucher fans --- case in point:

    Roth-era VH albums sold = 34 million
    Hagar-era VH albums sold = 18 million

Van Roth had two 10-million+ albums........Van Hagar's highest was "5150" which sold 5 million.

Remember that outside of "1984", Van Roth never enjoyed the mainstream exposure of MTV and Top 40 radio that Van Hagar did.......and Dave-era still sold twice as many records!

Red Voodoo hit #22 back in 1999.......quite impressive.......LOL.
