This is the original OP in all its full glory from "Ultraman -Toward the Future" taken from a legit DVD release.

Possibly one of the best Ultraman theme songs ever even though its rather similar to Superman.
This song was also reused in the Ultraman animated OVA "The Adventure Begins".

    It was supposed to...but clashes between the production practices of the Aussies and the Japs blew out the budget fairly early on...

    (I've heard that the series has only debuted in Japan and the US--not even in Australia, where it was filmed! And it supposedly got good ratings in the US...)

    Amen, brother! We're definitely children of the 90's when we wax nostalgic about this show. And yes, I also like the theme regardless of it's similarities to the Superman theme, for much the same reasons. Things were gonna be OK when this music started playing.
