    Yes, the reflex originally comes from helping stimulation milk let down from their mothers, it also is associated with comfort. They do it when they're being petted, and when they're getting sleepy and are happy too.

    lol so cute, I love when cats do this, mine is an adult kitty and still does that (on my stomach or pillow/blanket).. I heard they do it if they are weaned off of their mothers milk to young. Probly comforts them and reminds them of mom or somthing too hehe.
