  • This was supposed ...

This was supposed to have been an "over- the- moon" success when released in 1934 and the trailer definitely shows why -- who wouldn't have stood in line during those cold depression years to see this? I only recently-discovered that a few-years later Felix Knight was at Warners' doing a technicolor- short with songs written by my grandfather -- wish now I had asked grandad what was like to work with him! Thanks for putting this-up. Great trailer!

  • Sharp-eyed viewers ...

Sharp-eyed viewers may recognize Mr. Barnaby as the fiendish opera house owner who forced Alfalfa to sing in the streets with a tin cup in his hand, in the Little Rascals episode "Our Gang Follies of 1936."
