Of all the animals in the oceans, the hammerhead shark may be one of the strangest looking. The exact purpose of the wide, flat head is a mystery, but several theories abound. We travel to the shark-infested waters of the Galapagos in Ecuador to learn about the unusual habits of these sinister-looking sharks. Jonathan swims in schools of hundreds of hammerheads, and yet the sharks ignore him. What are the sharks up to?

    Watch when the lady feeds the sharks in her tank.One of them just floats down to the food on the bottom and makes a piece disappear,Regular sharks have to turn sideways and pick food off the bottom with the side of their mouths.The hammerheads are more like rays,and scientists concur,that rays are shaped that way,so they can feed off the bottom easier.

    I don't think so - A hammerhead shark just has the funny head to find the food easier - and maybe to hold an eye with other sharks and fishs - I don't think I'm right - but I don't think youre right too
