  • (@ 2:40) Oh my god ...

(@ 2:40) Oh my god, I can imagine the drivel that D'Souza is going to give about morality.

I'm surprised Barker didn't open with "If you need to bible to give you code, you're therefore admiting that without this book YOU PERSONALLY have no reason not to R**e and pillage. Or that the bible condones murder, planetocide, terror, slavery, mysogyny, etc.

  • no, science didn't ...

no, science didn't make me an "atheist" I have always been, though it does give great evidence for their not being a god. also, do you presume fairies don't exist? or how about unicorns? science cannot prove they don't, but we intellectuals don't need science to tell us they don't. anyways, We say the god of Religions does not exist, like them pretending they know the mind of their god or that their god answers prayers. so.. don't pretend that you Know god. RELIGION is the problem, not gods.

It never siezes to amaze me pschowabbit how you so called intellectuals and reasonable sceptics can fault people for presuming a god.
Whether there is a god or not how is being educated on all the sciences gonna disprove the existence of a god?
If you ask me can I prove it...well obviously we can't put spirituality in a lab to test it sooo...
Your believes remain safe. Just don't pretend
that science has made you an atheist.

    "since no one knows" ...

what makes you so convinced that no one knows? Are you saying that if there was a god, it couldn't revealed itself to anybody?

I don't know where you get off calling me arrogant. All I am saying is god hypothesis is not that farfetched.

  • Whenever religious ...

Whenever religious ideas are mixed with scientific ideas it is seen as weak...ie fantasy with reality so to speak.
However the concept of a god is not that unreasonable. Its an educated guess what is beyind it all. Of course scientists stop at present data and anything out of the box is laughed at.

  • Baker talks about ...

Baker talks about minimizing pain as a way of determining if someone is moral or not. Why can you say to someone "you should minimize pain." Doesn't your statement have to be "I think you should try to minimize pain." I would like it if someone here could explain how one can use prescriptive language or "shoulds" or "oughts" when we make the assumption there is no supreme being.

If he was such a moron he wouldn't be debating the top debaters. He would have been laughed at the first time for being a false intellectual and disgraced.
Because you disagree with him doesn't mean he isn't smart.

oh ffs, what a stupid question. How many times have we answered the morality question. We don't get if from god, hence why i didn't stone my dad on sunday for mowing the lawn. So the whole Christian society at Harvard had all that time to think of a question to ask Dan and thats the best they came up with...pathetic.

Dinesh, you are adding attributes to something you know nothing about and can know nothing about. And you slip it in quietly with lines like "Lets call it". This is the kind of faith based dishonet debating that bugs me.
