Everyone who cares so much about animals being hunted needs to realize they don't have souls. God gave man dominion over the animals. It is our right to hunt them. Start caring about people and winning them to Christ rather than trying to save sharks and baby fur seals. Seriously. Even so, for what purpose? Pure sport? Catching and releasing a shark, although it is 100 times better than killing it, still puts a lot of stress on the animal and can end up wounding it. For example: the shark could get a hook stuck in its skin or a net caught around its tail.

They aren't killing them. it's catch and release. These guys are tournament fisherman who admire the strength and agility sharks have.

Dogs and cats often injure smaller animals, like rabbits or mice unintentionally, trying to play with them - and end up killing them. Animals do not simply kill others for "pure sport" as people do. They don't have games and competitions to see who can kill the largest rat, do they? People do not need to be out there killing sharks that are not even bothering them. Sharks are important parts of the ecosystems of the oceans but many species are endangered and threatened due to overfishing.

That's funny...because my dog just killed a pigeon, and didn't even eat it. He just left the corpse on the porch, after he'd killed the bird for fun. Many animals kill for fun, not just "evil" humans. Although I suppose whatever bloats your ego and makes you feel holier than your neighbor is...bunk?
