I think you are absolutely right EarthlyAlchemy. Women in here see videos of different bellydancers just to write bad comments. For me it is awful that such a enchanted dance is taken as "how sexy and pretty do I look dancing" rather than its true meaning.

I think everything is individual. I began with Neena and Veena videos, went further with Rania and Michelle Joyce. When the new one comes passion for the old one vanishes. That is right about me. Every belly dancer puts her own spirit into her art and movements. Let yourself decide and chose. It is all about choosing a right direction for you and let the others to chose theirs. It was performed by and for women? That's interesting, but I almost don't believe it. With the way women critique each other out of jealousy today, it would have been quite the change to have a bunch of women in a room together without criticizing every little thing.
