  • i have a 2000 ...

    i have a 2000 Lincoln LS (manumatic/semi-automatic 5 speed tranny which i hardly use since i mostly have it in D5 and just let the computer control the shifts). last night it started pulling when i would hit about 50 mph shifting into 5th. it also did it a few times when it was going into 3rd & 4th. RPMs increasd to almost 4k then it would lurch and shift to the next gear. out of nowhere it turned off on me & the dashboard said "error selecting gear". maybe sensor of some sort? comments???
