For my Senior Cello Recital at James Madison University in March 2006, I decided that my recital needed something extra. This is the encore of my recital. If you can name all of the zelda themes used in this medley, you are as cool as me. Enjoy!


for those wondering how i got the sheet music. i listened to the hyrule symphony mp3 and figured out all the parts from that and put it in finale. i then added two sections (dungeon from link 2 and zeldas lullaby) and changed around some other stuff (like adding the full version of the original).

I just finished updating this medley (adding 3 more themes from WW and TP and fixing some small things) and am planning to have a video game concert on 11/15/08 at James Madison University showcasing the Zelda medley, the Final Fantasy medley, and the Mario bros. Medley! There will be videos of all these medleys posted soon after.


**side note**
i realize it's not completely in tune, we put it together at the last second... i actually didn't decide i was going to do it until the day of my recital.... although i must say, if i knew it was going to be this popular on youtube, i would've spent way more time on it to make sure it was perfect.

    Wow! I was not expecting to hear the Super Smash Bros. Hyrule Castle mixed in there.. or is that from one of the Zelda games and I am not aware of it?
    Nice job on combining Zelda songs from multiple platforms and generations. It was interesting to hear how it can be performed by string quartet.
    Also impressive that you wrote that out by ear the same day of the performance. Dang, man. AWESOME!

    first is zelda theme from ocarina majora and a few others =p
    second is the dungeon theme from early zelda games
    3rd is the market in one of the villages (i think) theme for zelda 2
    4 ssmb theme for race mode ....
    5 is zeldas lulaby .
    6 is the link to the past 5th dungeon .
    7 link to the past and others theme again
    8 is dark world theme from link to the past
    9 repise to themes
    10 end of things clapping .
