Interview in 1970.
originally the beatles went for the pop-humable tune kinda thing. later john veered off into pychadelia, he didnt like the poppy crap. but yeah, musically zeppelin was way more talented, no question. lyrically id go with the lennon side of the beatles, with some harrison

My grandfather used to record them, and he was always talking about how they smoked all the time in the studio and it got on his nerves. I can see what he was talking about on this interview!
Lol, exactly what I was thinking.

love zep and love bonzo
what a ridiculous interview!!!!
that is the whitest, most conservative view on music by the interviewer.
i also hate the idea that the beatles were good only for the cult of personality. i mean from rubber soul onwards they were (while not as gifted musicians as zep) remarkably innovative and brilliant. zep and the beatles are easily my two fav bands and so obviously im not gonna try and say who's better but they were both two of the most innovative and inspiriational bands going round
haha plant witha mustache, XD haha

By TheGunnedDownRose [Affiliate User] 1198294727 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBeatles were pop music and also broke some ground historically. Led Zeppelin paved the way for hard modern rock and kills the Beatles as musicians.
