Well folks, if Sly's going to revisit one of the greatest ensemble cast flicks ever put together, how could I not revisit one of the greatest trailers of all time (mine).
Expendables:Call to Arms Trailer
This is America folks, it's your patriotic duty to see our national treasures murder the shit out of bad guys on the silver screen. If you're not American... don't you want to feel like one for a couple hours? August 17th, get to the theaters and make Expendables 2 #1. Do it for Freedom, George Washington, and blondes with loose morals. Mitt Romney may have forgotten how to spell name of this glorious country (Amercia?), but our Expendables boys still know how to throw down USA-style... #fuckyeahamerica
For those interested the New York Times article is called
"How the American Action Movie Went Kablooey" by Adam Sternbergh
and is an interesting read.
As always, this is done as a fan-made tribute to the finest cinematic work this country has to offer so, I make no claim to any of the copy written material in this.
"Irulan is Regret" by Bryan Tyler from the Children of Dune OST (which is amazing and underrated, for any of you film score nerds out there)
"Totally Stupid" off the album 'The Wolf' by Andrew W.K. (who, if I ever get to make a feature movie I will totally blow to make sure he does the soundtrack/score)
Release Date: August 17, 2012
