Wonderful Homebirth

I cannot believe they told you to quiet down in the hospital! If I didn't make noise during my contractions I don't know how else I would've done it. Also I saw you were wearing a navy shirt, are you or your husband in the navy? If so, are the midwives covered through military insurance? My husband is in the Army and it would be great to know if they are covered for the next time we have a baby. thank you!

Thank you for the kind words! I believe in woman's design. I believe that we were created to birth babies, and I believe that this design is not faulty unless messed with. To act in a way that states otherwise would deny my basic beliefs, making them invalid. If this makes me brave, AMEN! =0)

brave because so many women are terrorized into thinking a medical birth is the only way or that they aren't capable of delivery in a natural setting. most women will suffer multiple births in a hospital because they're understandably afraid. this woman believes in herself! congrats!

brave as in ive heard so much about birth. i.e. that women even throw up. i have no idea how much of this is true, but i hoe when i eventually get pregnant my birth is as beautiful as yours.

Why brave? After all the reading I did and everything I learned regarding labor and birth, there is little courage needed to have a baby, especially at home. Thank you and I hope your birth experiences are wonderful too!

my 2nd but really 3rd childs due in december and were planning a home birth well the baby would be our 2nd my third but our first baby was still born but this babys going to be okay we know it we belive god has his hand on this pregnancy

I don't know if this is too late, but if not...relax. Take deep, soothing breaths, and trust that your body knows what to do. The more you trust that you were made to birth a baby the better able you will be to do it. This is our design! =0) If you have the blessing of a tub, relax ALL your limbs and let them float, giving your body's energy fully to your uterus. Let us know how it went! God bless!!!

That was adorable! I am pregnant and awaiting my babes arrival sometime tonight! This morning at about maybe 6 i woke up to mild discomfort in my stomache. We called the midwives and they didnt come till around 9AM and they will be coming back soon. Contractions now are very painful but not very consistent. I am logged on now because if you happen to check your youtube i wanted to know if you had any last minute advice. This is my first child, so I wuold welcome some advice. Reply Please!

Oops...I didn't mean to delete your first comment, but yes, she was/is fine. There was nothing wrong with her ever. The biggest issue was with me and my connection to her over the next month. It took several weeks before I felt she was my child.

I had a water birth 10 weeks ago & it was at the Active Birth Ward in the Hospital that I was booked at. Samuel, my son was my 2nd & as my 1st-born took 26 hrs & 11 mins everyone thought my labour would be long also. It only took 2 hrs & 47 mins though! When it came to the hospital they only let me go into the water for the 2nd stage though. Sam came on his due date & seeing u made me cry tears of joy as i remember what it was like for me! I wish I'd done the same. Anyway, thank u for sharing.

Your daughter is gorgeous, so is this video. Your experience is so inspirational! I've been watching waterbirth videos since yesterday, I had never heard of it before. And though I'm only 20 (and man-less XD), I just KNOW I will have my baby this way now. This is so natural, and so much better for the babies.
