The number of Muslims and Evangelican Christians that I meet that deny the Garden of Eden story are extreamly few (and I work in healthcare, so I am not just dealing with nuts off the internet).
If you believe in the Garden of Eden story, then you can't believe in evolution.....it's that simple. If you don't believe in the Garden of Eden story, then why believe in any part of you holy book?

Go ahead. It sounds like you stumbled onto lies, damn lies, and statistics. Those numbers sound like the numbers for U.S. residents who believe in God. Believing in God doesn't mean you're a creationist. Further, there's a variety of creationists, from the intelligent designers all the way down to the flat earthers. You're oversimplifying the picture.

I said that not all, not even most, Jews, Christians and Muslims are literal creationists, the people who do believe in the Garden of Eden story word for word. So most don't have to make this fake choice.

Actually that's false, Just over 50% of Americans overall and about 65% of American Christians as a subset are creationists. Understandably the stats get even worse in less developed nations. I can provide links if you like.

Social upbringing makes up "shy" about nudity. We are socialised into it. Go into the forests of Papua or the Amazon, and people are not that prude. This proves it is not genetic to be "shy", but it is a social cause.......

Oh and by the way, the Quran is nonsense. Don't bother looking for science in it. There is none, except in the minds of deeply insecure Muslims who are so desperate for some legitimisation of their faith, that they invent some "science" in the Quran........

IF you believe that God created Adam from mud, then created Even from his rib, and that they were the first humans (which is the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim theory of events), then no you can't believe in evolution as well.....so you got to make a choice

I must say that Riz Khan suprised me very much on the positive side. Inteligent questions. Much better than the last BBC interview with Richard Dawkins.
I've seen Aljazeera a couple of times. Seems a better than average news station, certainly at the level of the BBC. However, I've noticed (only from those few times I've seen it) that there is a tendency to not to ask/explore certain questions related to religion that might contradict it, in particular Islam. But in general a good interview!!!

You dont, u just cant be a muslim or judeo christian, catholic or mormon and such. You can still make up your own God and find a holy book find the parts u like and still accept scientific research on evolution and cosmology..

I don't see why you have to be an atheist in order to accept scientific research on evolution and cosmology.

I really dislike the term "Darwinism." Science is about theories and peer reviews. Calling evolution "Darwinism" kind of puts it on par with "Christianity" -- as if it's a belief based on the word of one person.

That's why so many religionists try to tear down evolution by attacking Darwin.

i tell you the truth, Darwin is a brainless person, evolution didn't happen. i show you scientific proof from Holy Quran it say when we kicked out Adam & Eve we removed their cloths the they shyed and hide behind a free leaf. Who had shyness in heaven? Adam & eve.

The question "Who created the creator" does make sense, as unless he was self-creating, which is something of a paradox, then he/she/it must have had a cause, as all things do.

Forget what I said about visiting a library; read a dictionary instead! And while you're at it, look up the definition of a scientific theory.

This could have been much better if it was presented in the form of debate.
