The World was rather quiet, before this Arlo Guthrie came along.
We ALL Love You Arlo....and that's just the way it is bro'.

There are a wealth of us, born into the strife of the 60s and since, here in Vermont. Ah, Arlo, who sees more in coomon humanity than opposing viewpoints. I heard this song live in the late 80s, it is more (sadly) poignant now.

I learned so much from all. Peace Love and Protect. I love arlos music and a VET!!

When will we ever learn? To GW Bush and his ilk: When will you ever learn? Better keep the cameras away from Dover, Delaware. Thank you Arlo and friends (and family) for another precise and succinct expression of what we're all feeling.

Arlo has always been my favorite singer and I love his songs wish I got to see him when he was here last year.

I agree. I guess I'm an old hippie in women's health care. Then,we invented gentle, peaceful births where women gave birth & embraced it,w/o the need to be delivered of our babies by an authority figure. Now, I look at my peers and think,"Where were you in the 60's"? as they look at me with blank faces over things we thought were universal truths of life back then. Knowing people like you and Arlo are still out there makes me feel less lonely and out of place too. Thanks.

Arlo is a national treasure. I just saw him in Durham, NC and he was better than ever.

It's sad to think that most people know more about Britney and Paris's personal crap and forget about the fact we have young men and women fighting a war for us. This song says alot.

Thanks Arlo - this is the best "welcome home" I have had in the 40 years since I came home...

No one may have cared back then when a soldier made it home, but we care now. God bless the troops and their families.
